Get Help With In-Home Care Services for Seniors
Aging is a natural process, but can come with difficult decisions. As your loved ones age, it can be difficult to find the right place for them to finish out their lives. There are few things more heartbreaking than knowing your aging loved one needs care that you do not have the resources to provide. We speak with many people who face incredible stress as they try to care for their aging loved one while juggling work, children, or other responsibilities.
But, take heart—we’re here to help.
What options are available for your loved one? While many opt for an assisted living facility or nursing home, in-home care services for seniors are becoming more feasible. This may be a great option for your loved one, and it may be available to you.
The vast majority of aging people want to continue living in their own home. This has been the way that the elderly have aged for thousands of years of human history. While assisted living and nursing homes can also be excellent options for aging seniors, many seniors love living in environments that are familiar and comfortable for them.

The MI Choice Medicaid Waiver Program
In Michigan, older adults, age 65+, and persons with disabilities who are 18+ years of age, may qualify for the MI Choice Medicaid Waiver program. This is a community-based program that helps provide alternatives to nursing home care. For aging adults who qualify, the MI Choice Medicaid Waiver Program can be a great option to receive in-home care. The Information Center’s coverage area for the program is southern and western Wayne County; if you live elsewhere in the State, we can connect you with your area Ml-Choice Medicaid Waiver provider.
