Information Center President & CEO Edward D’Angelo Announces Retirement

After a decade and a half of serving The Information Center as President & CEO, Edward D’Angelo, will be closing a chapter. “The Information Center is made up of amazing people, and it has been a wonderful 15 years for me.”- D’Angelo During his tenure as President & CEO at The Information Center the organization grew its annual budget from $3.8 million to over $10.1 million, purchased a building in Taylor to establish a permanent office location, expanded and added several programs and services. 

D’Angelo had a 43-year career in non-profits in the Detroit Metropolitan area including 25 years at The Guidance Center (Southgate) where he served in programmatic and administrative roles.  Throughout his career, D’Angelo has served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations including the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, Alliance of Information and Referral Systems, the Michigan Home and Community Services Network, and the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber.  D’Angelo will be retiring in early April.

Is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization serving residents of Wayne and Monroe counties connecting area residents with government and other services and resources that enhance their quality of life since 1975.  The organization has been accredited by the Alliance of Information and Referral Services (AIRS) since 2003 and the National Commission on Quality Assurance (NCQA) for Long Term Services and Supports since 2018.
