Common Questions about MI Choice Medicaid Waiver Program
No. The whole point of MI Choice is to help you STAY in your home. Services come to you.
If you qualify, the services are covered through Medicaid. There is no cost to you for covered services.
Yes. Many people in the program live alone. Services like meal delivery, emergency response buttons, and regular check-ins are designed to keep you safe even when family isn’t nearby.
The income and asset limits are more flexible for the Medicaid Waiver Program than most people think.
Having Medicaid, being eligible for Medicaid, or having a pending Medicaid application is helpful, but not necessary to apply for the Waiver Program.
