If you go to WCCCD and you are struggling with food, rent, bills, mental health, childcare, or anything else getting in the way of school, we can help.
The Student Assistance Program is free, private, and judgment-free. One call connects you to real help.

What We Help With
Food. Groceries, food pantries, meal programs, and help signing up for food benefits.
Housing. Help paying rent, finding a place to live, or fixing a problem with your current housing.
Utilities. Help with electric, gas, water, and other bills before they get cut off.
Mental Health. Someone to talk to and a connection to free or low-cost counseling.
Childcare. Help finding or paying for childcare so you can get to class.
Transportation. Bus passes, rides, and help getting to school, work, or appointments.
Jobs and Career Help. Help finding a job, fixing a resume, or getting career training.
School Supplies and Basics. Things like books, clothes, hygiene items, and other basics that get in the way when you don’t have them.
Anything Else. If something is getting in the way of school, we want to know. Call us and we will figure it out together.
You Are Not the Only One
Most college students struggle with at least one of these things at some point.
You are not weak, lazy, or behind for asking. You are smart for asking.
We will not tell your school you called. Your information stays private.
There is no judgment. We have helped students who are working three jobs, raising kids, taking care of parents, and everything in between.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. Just tell us what is happening.
We match you with the right resources. Some are at WCCCD. Some are in the community. We line it up.
We check in to make sure things are working. You stay in school.
Are You Helping a Student?
If you have noticed a student missing class, falling behind, or going through something hard, you can refer them to the Student Assistance Program.
Refer with a phone call, a warm hand-off, or by sharing the Student Assistance Program number with the student directly.
We coordinate with WCCCD staff and respect student privacy in everything we do.

Common Questions about the Student Assistance Program
Yes. The Student Assistance Program is free for WCCCD students. There is no fee for talking to us or for the help we connect you to.
We do not share what you tell us with your professors or your school.
Your information is private.
Asking for help through SAP does not affect your financial aid.
Yes. You do not have to be in crisis to ask. If something in your life is making school harder than it should be, that is enough.
Some help we can connect you to the same day.
Other things take a little longer.
